Kimberley Leggett

Kimberley Ann Estrop-Leggett (born March 23, 1993) is a Malaysian beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Malaysia 2012. Leggett will represent Malaysia at the Miss Universe 2012.

Background

Leggett is born and raised in Tanjung Bungah, Penang, Malaysia. She is of British-Serani descent.
Leggett is fluent in English, Bahasa Melayu and French.


Education

Leggett attended St.Christopher's International Primary School of Penang as a child where she was a school prefect and received the Sports Girl of the Year Award and the E.J Bathe Award in 2004. She continued her education at The International School of Penang (Uplands) where she completed the IGCSE and IB Diploma as well as being appointed a senior prefect.

Miss Malaysia 2012

Leggett joined Miss Universe Malaysia 2012's BeautyCamp, where she became one of viewers' favorites. She was a heavy favorite for the crown[citation needed] and succeeded by achieving the highest scores in the Miss Universe Malaysia 2012 Final Gala night at the age of 18. Leggett was crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2012 on November 10, 2011 at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre by Deborah Priya Henry. She also won subsidiary titles: Miss Photogenic, Best Bikini Body, and Nestle Fitnesse Award. She hopes to promote 1Malaysia (Malaysia's unity campaign) and safe driving among the youth of Malaysia.

Miss Universe 2012

She will participate in the 61st edition of the Miss Universe pageant to succeed the title from outgoing titleholder Leila Lopes from Angola.
